Samantha

Samantha has the most captivating eyes just look at her for a minute.. I'm sure you will see what I'm talking about..she's a beauty.
I have never had a cat as a prop before and I was a little nervous about it getting loose in my basement. I had no need for concern, this was the most well behaved cat I have ever met. It basically just sat on the bench being petted for over an hour.. amazing! Samantha may be graduating but "miss cindy" the cat has the whole family catering to her- too cute. Thank you Samantha for doing your research and hiring me to take your seniors pictures I am truely honored and hope you enjoy them.

Ryder- 6 month old

Happy 6 months little Ryder you are so beautiful. Mom and Dad deserve a huge thank you on this shoot, they never stopped helping to get smiles. It was really fun to see how much he has changed in the last 3 months. He is now sporting some teeth and those hands just loved to be in the mouth. It is fascinating to see him do some of the same facial expression he did 3 months ago. See you again little buddy in 3 more months.

I am so in love with this black & white, something about his little chubby cheeks and those big eyes.. this portrait has me captivated.

Lifes Treasures

The post preceding this is of Inez Huntington a beautiful mother & grandma. Inez asked for the family picture to be taken because her health had been declining. Unfortunately Inez never got to see these pictures she passed away on Tuesday before the proofs were delivered. My deepest sympathy goes to this family.

Probably the greatest joy of being a photographer for me is providing families with lifetime memories. This family now has these wonderful pictures of Inez and the memory of them all getting together for this moment. Do you always think about having a family picture taken? Never get around to it because organizing everyone in one place is a pain, no matter what day or time your choose someone complains. Let me say to you.. You will NEVER regret having a family picture taken.

I have had this experience personally with the passing of my father and sister. Many years ago I was at my parents home doing my brothers senior pictures. My parents came home from church and I said "sit here real quick and lets take a picture" a few weeks later my father had a massive heart attack and died. We have the most wonderful portrait of them together- brings tears to my eyes to this day. My sister was ill and we made an effort to get a picture with all the siblings (8 of us) with my mom. Now that Franny has passed it is the last family picture of all the kids together and it will always be hanging in my house- priceless!!

We never know who will be with us at "the next party" so stop procrastinating and get it done. Wether you have it done professionally or just with a point and shoot. DO IT!

Huntington family

Isn't this grandma just beautiful? When I mee her on the day of this session she struck me immediately as the grandma everyone loves. In studying her features I felt like she could of been my grandma, it was this instant attraction to her.. kinda weird for me but it felt good. As I watched this family enter the room and greet her with hugs and kisses, her eyes sparkled more with every person. I was touched and am so blessed to be invited into these special moments of peoples lives.
Grandma is not so well physically and wanted these pictures taken, I hope she will be please with the outcome.

This is her grandson who absolutely loves his grandma.
