King children

I have known Bailey & Andrew's mom since she was knee high. So it was a great honor for her to ask me to photograph her children. At first Bailey wanted nothing to do with the camera then after some smooth talking she really enjoyed it. Then came time for the pictures of both of them and Andrew was not going to do it. We tried every trick in the book, but it was not going. That is one of the challenges and beauties of working with children.. sometimes you win and sometime you do not. I am still really happy with this session because each child gave me the best they had at that particular moment.

Joe is now 2

For those of you who follow my blog, you already know Joe. This sweet man has been coming to me faithfully for 2 years and what a treat that has been for me. Now he is a little man that has an amazing personality . We decided on a real casual session, we would let Joe walk around and play and I would chase him. It was a blast! We spent a good hour downtown, talking and looking at the world... great fun. Thank you Acree family for always trusting me with your family memories- I look forward to continuing this tradition with the new addition you will welcome soon.

Lilly

This is my great niece Lilly who just turned 2. What an angel! ok maybe not all the time. Miss Lilly was so well behaved, she loved all the chairs I had and tried each one. Happy Birthday sweet girl.

Graham family

I got a call from Tami (daughter/sister) months ago arranging this family picture. The family had not all been together since the passing of their father many years ago. Well this is right up my alley... capturing family memories. I feel that family pictures are the most prized possesion someone can own. Bringing people together for a family picture creates memories and then you have the print on your wall as a reminder.
Tami, thank you for calling me to help honor your family in this way. I hope you and your family will cherish the images for years to come.

Here is Tami with mom & her siblings.

The whole clan/ the ones who could make it that day.

Photo seminar

Yesterday I attended another photo seminar. The difference in this one was that it was an intimate group of approx 13 instead of 100. We sat around shared our fears and questions it was awesome. We then spent 2 hours photographing a couple of models, learning from each other... great experience. Now I must implement all the information I just learned.. its going to be fun!

Ryder- 9 mo

Look who is 9 months old. As I have said before I am so in love with this little man. He has eyes you could get "lost in", just think how handsome he will be as a man. Everytime he comes to visit the expressions he makes are so adorable. It has been a blast playing with him and I already look forward to seeing him again for his happy birthday session- what kind of trouble can we get in to?

Aleesa & Casey

On May 22nd these two became husband and wife.. it was the most perfect day!
Not too hot, the sunshine popped out now and then (a little too much at times) and this wedding was flawless. I was with the ladies in the early am for hair and make-up, it was amazing to me the calm that surrounded all of them. This is not something I get to witness very often on a wedding day. Nobody was freaking out or scrambling- the whole day continued in this fashion.. It was amazing!

Aleesa & Casey are a really neat couple, so in love and in tune with one each other. It was evident during the day and with the speeches given this couple is surrounded by a supportive group of family an friends. It was an absolute honor to photograph their wedding and be a part of such a wonderful day. I hope to work with these families again, it was a blast!
PS: Big thanks to Dennis from ProTek Photography for being my second photog that day and the lovely Brittany, my assistant.

Graham Twins

Oh how I love the babies! These beautiful little girls (3 weeks old) should have been sleeping. Momma did everything right, they had baths, were fed and it was nap time. That was until I arrived. The minute I started posing them they were awake ( for almost 2 hours) and not really very happy with me:) so to show me just how in "control" they are.. I got tinkled and pooped on.
Generally we can pose newborns while they sleep and it never bothers them. Since these girls were not about to give up control to me, I'm pretty sure mom & dad are going to have their hands full in the upcoming years.

The Allen family

Oh what fun it is to have a session with good friends. It is really an honor for them to trust me with such a special photo. Sometimes I do find myself being a little too relaxed during the session but that is the beautiful thing about friendships.. you feel instantly like you are with family.

Ok back to the family. Aren't they just adorable! Sister has the most intense look and can hold that smile for hours. Then on to brother, what a handsome young man with a smile that lights up the room. If you look and mom and dad you see exactly where those wonderful smiles come from.

Jessica

Miss Jessica & her best friend Lacy are going to graduate nursing school today. What an accomplishment this is for these young moms. They have put in all the hours for schooling on top of being a mom. I truley admire the dedication this must take. So congratulation ladies, I pray your futures will be filled with joy, happiness and good employment. Thank you for honoring me to capture this special moment in your lives.
